On a rather wet and windy afternoon just before Christmas, Ella brought in a fabulous show and tell to share with her friends. David the pony had a marvellous afternoon in Reception, helping the children to learn all about how to stay safe when riding and how to look after a pony. David was exceptionally well behaved, letting the children brush him and feed him carrots. We hope he might come back for another visit later in the year.
This week we met our school nurse, Sadie. She came to show us all the equipment the school nurses use to check our height, weight, eyesight and hearing. Some of the children got to try out the equipment and were especially keen to learn about the audiometer. We have enjoyed seeing the children transferring their learning in using this equipment to our own Doctors Surgery in the role play area. |
